When we begin to question our capabilities, it can stifle our progress. We'll hesitantly approach the edge of success and freeze. In those times, people will give you the cliché advice of "take a leap of faith." And while this is a jumping point, we should take the time to prepare all that comes with that leap. Our passions can often blind us to the reality of what goes into making them come to fruition.

Examples of these can range anywhere from consumer base, resources to location. The success of your passion can sometimes be dependent on outside factors. Whether you are an online seller or require a physical location to interact with consumers, understand what it takes to get them to choose you. All of the talent in the world will not guaranty anyone will be interested. Turning that leap of faith turns into a plunge of doom. Take a look at the market for what you are pursuing. Is it overcrowded? Are there missed opportunities that can give you an edge? How are people drawn to what you do, and how can you stand out while doing it?
If you are one of the lucky few; who have someone else preparing for you so that you can focus solely on your passion, hey, I wish you nothing but success. For the rest of us, we'll have to put in the extra work and cover all our bases. No matter your position, preparation is key to your success, while we live in a world that prefers to show you the end without the means of getting there. It becomes easy to doubt yourself.
Preparation helps eliminate self-doubt and gives you the confidence to show other's what you can do with little fear. When you've covered all of your bases, and all that is left is to display your talents. People with notice and your hard work will go a long way, helping raise you above others in your field. After all, whether you land smoothly or stumble a bit, preparation is your cushion. So, take that 'Leap of Faith' and let your preparation catch you in the end.
